YMCKO ribbon for the card printer HID Fargo DTC1500, prints up to 500 images.
YMCKO ribbons are color ribbons in which the color components yellow (Y), magenta (M), cyan (C), black (K) and the overlay (O) are strung together. The overlay coating protects the plastic card from damage, scratching and fading.
The full spectrum of colors is printed on the card by means of thermal sublimation from the stacked three colors. The black zone (K) is intended for the defined printing of texts or barcodes by means of transfer printing.
Multi-colored graphics, logos, photos and texts can be printed on plastic cards using this printing technique.
